This track reflects on my group the “Little Big Band” around the time it was formed circa 1985. I had a vision of a musical group evolving from the Mingus Sun Ra traditions. I used to work my musicians, to dust… rehears and rehears and rehears. This composition has a large repetitious part, that enables a free spirited improvisation.
The last part is an excellent example of Interpolation of upper structure chords with Rock Oriented Drumming by Eitan Izcovitz. There are some Excellent Solos by Pianist Eli Meiri, Saxophonist Avram Fefer and myself on Soprano Saxophone.
And Yes, Lea Had Blue Eyelashes.
