In 1983 Contrabass Player Gary Peacock gave me the harmonies used by pianist Bill Evans when they used to play Irving Berlin's : "How Deep is The Ocean".
I played it a million times on the piano and on my saxophone and when the recording of my first album with Peacock and McKinley came up I had no doubt that this will be the only standard on my album. Listen to peacock's amazing sound and solo.
