in 1983 I Started my Jazz Education at the Cornish Institute in Seattle Wash. I was sitting at the Blue Room (dedicated to George Gershwin) overlooking the Pudget Sound when I heard the pianist next door hammering Takatata... Takatata... And right away a new tune was born... Bo Po means come here (Hebrew) when you call a little dog or cat .
In this recording you hear the great Medeski plunging his Monkish stride ...
